Franchesca Taylor has been awarded her wood badge for her ADC (Assistant District Commissioner) Beavers role. Huge congratulations to Franchesca!
Roger Jones Award:
In memory of Roger Jones (Ex DDC in Croydon), Steve French launched a new award which was presented at the District AGM held on Tuesday 11th June 2019. The criteria for the award was left fairly open and the potential recipient could be a youth member, uniformed Leader or Group/District supporter. It was suggested that awards could be given to members who had gone that extra mile, perhaps someone who had overcome some form of adversity or personal challenge to achieve and succeed in Scouting.
Laura Speechly (GSL) nominated David Seaman to receive the Roger Jones Award and he was presented his award at the District AGM on Tuesday 11th June 2019.
